Jong Dar is a term that covers the physical practices of the Aro gTér Tradition of Vajrayana Buddhism, these psychophysical systems explore our intrinsic pervasive energy, dynamic drive and enthusiasm.

.This weekend practical workshop, taught by Rang zhin and Tsül'dzin will look at two of these systems:

  • Ying'khor comprises of 25 exercises that employ the co-ordination of subtle movements, visualisations, breath and sound.
  • sKu-mNyé is a system of 111 physical exercises that 'massage' the 'spatial nerves' of the energetic body - giving rise to extraordinary sensations. In these nyams it is possible to find the presence of non-dual awareness-rigpa-momentary enlightenment.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, it is also ideal for anyone who has some experience.

Saturday will be focused on explanation and instruction, Sunday will have more emphasis on revision, questions and how to continue and to develop a practice.

Jong-dar is an abbreviation of jong-dar chèd pa.

Jong (sByong) means: to distil, practise, train, exercise; or dispel.

Dar (rDar) means: to grind, sharpen, hone, perfect, or polish.

English will be the main language, but explanations will be possible in Finnish as well.

'Every human being is animated by moving patterns of energy - they are rich, vivid and powerful. We can discover these subtle landscapes of energy within ourselves.'
